GIULIA OSELLA (b. 1989) lives and works in Ivrea, Italy
Identity takes form without ever coinciding with what inhabits it.
Giulia Osella’s work operates within this non-coincidence as an operative condition. The works sustain recognizable structures while, within them, an awareness emerges that cannot be integrated or expelled.
Form continues to function and, in the same gesture, fractures.
What it holds does not resolve: it persists, deviates, alters the structure from within.
The image holds this state without stabilizing it.
It remains where adherence fails, and exit is not yet possible.
Form holds.
What inhabits it does not.
